The aim of this stage is to provide our students with a basic and common education so that they are able to acquire the basic cultural elements, the knowledge relating to oral expression, reading, writing and arithmetical calculation, and also to acquire autonomy of action in their environment.
From Arcadia school we expect our students to achieve the aforementioned aims, designed through a set of skills which, at the end of this stage, the students should have acquired.
In order to meet these aims, our methodology will allow for diversity among students, starting from their level of development and from their previous knowledge.
We guarantee the up-building of meaningful learning by promoting the students' activity; in other words, we will promote "learning to learn". We will also develop functional and motivating learning, and we will also have a comprehensive approach for all the contents and subjects.
We will give special value to the important task of learning in the group, and we will also promote social interaction in the classroom.
