We have started from the student's needs, so that their learning becomes motivating and meaningful. In this way, we favour a personalised, active and flexible education which promotes our student's curiosity, creativity, motivation and interests.
At the same time, we promote the autonomous learning, because in our present-day society, where knowledge is always in constant transformation, it is necessary that teenagers acquire the essential mechanisms to learn autonomously. In this way, we also promote personal initiative, always trying to make from the learning, a useful tool for life. But we have to include cooperative work in this process of learning, in order to promote social interaction, and responsibility, collaboration and solidarity habits.
These aims are supplemented with the development of research skills and the use of new technologies, looking always at the development of critical thought. In order to achieve these aims, we have an efficient system of psychological and educational guidance which covers personal, academic and professional aspects, with the aim of preparing our students for the successful entrance to Bachillerato. This system of guidance is integrated in the teaching- learning process, because this department is in continuous collaboration with the rest of the teaching staff.
