The countryside location of the School, enables us to develop all types of teaching and experiences: artistic, play activities, sport, cultural and also experiences in contact with nature, beyond what the current legislation establishes.
Besides this, Arcadia School is placed on a 28.000 m² plot, housing the most modern facilities.
The development and use of new technologies is a fundamental basis in Arcadia’s Educational Project; in order to attain such a development the school has included in its facilities Computerised Classrooms with internet and intranet connections, audio-visual classroom and multi-media classrooms. All of them with modern and up-to-date computing kits.
The school also has Scientific and Technologic Laboratories with a great diversity of material and devices which let us join theory and practice in science studies.
Environmental education and respect for nature are both considered to be important in Arcadia’s educational project. As our aim is to promote these two concepts, and make them more motivating, we will develop the activities of conservation and protection of the environment in the holm-oak wood which surrounds our school. The type of activities carried out will be: nature-hiking, excursions, nature conservation search, orchards,etc.
The language laboratories are indispensable tools in the teaching of any language. For this reason, Arcadia has included in its facilities the most up-to-date equipments devoted to our students, so that they learn foreign languages with the greatest of ease and efficiency. As the school provides a high level of importance to the learning of languages, the language laboratories and their use, have been very carefully looked after by the teaching staff.
On another hand, Arcadia School houses a great Library, Reading and Leisure Rooms (adapted to theatre performances, concerts, talks, meetings, etc), snack bar and large car parks.
The kitchen is inside the school itself, and it is served by highly qualified professionals. Besides this, we offer two separate school canteens for the different stages, which are continuously looked after by the teaching staff.
The sport facilities deserve special attention. The school has an indoor sports complex and several outdoor sports tracks, courts and fields. These facilities, together with the two indoor swimming pools let us develop the practice and teaching of sport, to which we give so much importance in our Educational Project.
These facilities are supplemented with landscaped and playground areas, each of them separated for every educational stage.
