Apart from working for the fulfilment of the proposed aims in the current legislation, the Didactic Departments of the different subjects in Bachillerato, have prepared a consensus methodology which guarantees a coherent and high-quality teaching; the two principles we keep from Nursery School to Bachillerato.
The two Bachillerato courses entail effort and compromise both on the side of the students but also on the side of the teaching staff; because we all pursue a joint aim: achieving the best marks and qualifications so as to be able to carry out higher education.
On the methodological side, we base our teaching on the students' needs so as to make their learning really motivating and meaningful. In this way we promote a personalised, active and flexible education which adapts itself to our students' interests.
At the same time, we encourage autonomous learning, an essential feature for the students' subsequent career. Concurrently, we also promote individual initiative, always trying to make from the learning, a useful tool for life.
We add to these, cooperative work, in order to promote three fundamental features: teamwork, social interaction and responsibility, collaboration and solidarity habits.
These aims are supplemented with the development of research skills and the use of new technologies, looking always at the development of critical thought.
In order to achieve these aims, we have an efficient system of psychological and educational guidance which covers personal, academic and professional features, guaranteeing a suitable and high-level qualification for the University Entrance Examinations. This system of guidance is integrated in the teaching- learning process, because this department is in continuous collaboration with the rest of the teaching staff.
